What is it about Jazz that makes it so Special
I played the Trombone in High school band and we a had a real inovative band director that Introduced us to jazz. Now that was back in the day. We played Dave Brubeck "Take Five," and a few other jazz tunes and I have been in love with Jazz every since. What made Jazz so special is the pieces that fit together to give it the beat and the harmony and the timing and the melodic melody that only Jazz can bring. It is sexy, relaxing and gives the one that is hearing some good jazz being played a feeling that rejuvinates the soul. So my question to everyone hear, musicians, and listeners like myself. What makes Jazz so special to you?

What I like about jazz, is that I can just be myself and express myself in any way or form that I choose to. Its all about the music, the talent of a person. Here no one is looking at image so much as they do in other genres. There is so much talent out there that are not doing anything because society demands that you have this sexy body and a certain age in order to market ones talent. That is so sad! If you don't have a specific look you are not welcome! More and More you see a lot of people caming out that don't even have talent but jet they are making it!!!!! Its not right.

I beileve that all the music styles are closed to GOD! But to me, JAzz is the clossest one! That is why, in my opinion is what makes it most important. It has its own anoyiment from GOD! How 'bout that for an answer!!!!

Seldom do you meet a person who impresses you with both brilliance and kindness. Recently, I met such a person. Her name is Jaijai Jackson. I was drawn to her like a moth drawn to a flame. Her love of music is highly spiritual and her understanding of the business is remarkable. After many years in the music business, it is refreshing to meet someone like her.
Historians will research our arts to characterize our culture in the future. Contributions by those who tirelessly support our significant art forms will help to define us. Jaijai has become a key ingredient toward that future and her importance to the jazz world cannot be overstated.
