FREEPORT is currently available to support artists for performances and recording. Please reach out to us and let's get started via www.FreeportJazz.com. Here is a brief overview:

Chances are you have heard of the Contemporary Smooth Jazz group Freeport as they are regulars at festivals, top venues and notable events. Recently they have shared the stage with sophomoric artists, legends and Grammy award winners in the jazz community such as Bob James, Marion Meadows, Joyce Cooling, Paul Brown, Nils, Bob Baldwin, Matt Marshak, Dee Lucas, Marcus Johnson and the list goes on. Some past highlights have been recording and performing with Tower Of Power, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Special EFX, and Grover Washington Jr.

Networking is good.. one thing leads to another, as they say. Been pretty busy since I last checked in (though I read that I didn't think it would be so). Things came in.. I was thinking first quarter 2010 would be pretty slow...and it is a bit... but I've been lucky with some calls. Did a nice show with a touring Vegas act this past Sat for example. Spectrum Sings... a terrific group that highlights the best of the Motown sound (not really an impersonation act...but still doing all the hits from the Temps/Tops/Ojays/Spinners/etc..). Great fun and good charts. This weekend will be with Steve Lippia (also out of Vegas)...but touring in our area. Some local productions after that...so.. all in all, trickling in. Hope this finds you all doing well! Post some what's happenings.

I hadn't been on for a while...and it is nice to see some activity in our little group. Hope some good things can come of this site/group. I wish everyone some great things. I need to check all of your pages out to see who's out there in the Carolinas. Reach out... keep us all posted on what/where you are at. For me.. summer is a gaping h***..ha. but been busy. Mostly touring musicals and acts. Will pick back up again later in the summer and into the fall, but things ain't what they used to be. Anyway... good luck everyone. Glad you are here.

Michael Metheny turned me on to the group and it's just the kind of contact I need to get connected. Give me a shout on my email or call so we can chat.

Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.

I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.

My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."

Let's be audacious, my friends!
