Comment by Miles Jaye on April 21, 2011 at 9:11pm Hit R&B Star, Miles Jaye, storms on the jazz scene with the release of his newest CD, Attenergy, an instrumental album featuring the electric violin.
Attenergy, now available in stores nationwide, is a compilation of 16 beautifully crafted performances. Each track is a direct reflection of the album title, which Jaye defines as “a combination of attention and energy that generates creativity.” Some highlights on this soon to be classic CD include covers such as “Good Weather,” a tribute to Weather Report; George Benson’s “On Broadway”; and Chick Corea’s “Spain.” Each and every instrument heard on Attenergy is recorded solely by Jaye, which showcases his mastery of the art of songwriting, arranging, performance and production. In describing his passion for creating music Jaye explains, “I’m a singer and a musician yet I think like a painter, where every note is a color and every beat is a brush stroke.” Attenergy is a true reflection of this passion.
An accomplished musician and producer, Jaye is best known for his chart-topping hits “Let’s Start Love Over”, “I’ve Been A Fool For You” ,“Heaven” and “Objective”featuring the great saxophonist Grover Washington, Jr. His heart wrenching hit “I’ve Been A Fool for You” has become one of radio’s favorite R&B classics.
Miles Jaye enjoys a long-standing reputation as a R&BVocalist and Contemporary Jazz Writer/Producer having partnered with some of the greats of jazz on his recordings– George Duke, Roy Ayers, Nat Adderley, Jr., Rachelle Ferrell, Grover Washington, Jr., Dexter Wansel and Branford Marsalis.
In addition to sideman duties early in his career for songstress Phyllis Hyman, balladeer Jon Lucien, jazz guitarist Eric Gale, Jaye was lead singing “Cop” for the hit Pop group The Village People.

The Jazz Network is exactly what the title suggests, a place where you get to mix and mingle with those who have not only an appreciation for Jazz but a forum to hear new up and coming artists as well. I've hooked up with so many of my old friends that I've lost contact with over the years here and it's been a great place to meet folk, appreciate good music and Musicianship. What an incredible idea!!
