Hey Vince, Where did you get the midi encoder for your midi bass pedals? I use a nord C1 and have an extra set of hammond pedals that I would like to convert.

I built a set of MIDI bass pedals with an old set of Hammond pedals (blonde finish of course) and a good bit of research on the internet. It was one of those projects I started and never finished in my garage for several years. But I finally got off my butt and put it together. They are fabulous, but it was a lot of work. Roland wants somewhere around $3000 for theirs. There used to be a guy on e-bay who sold them for around $500.00 (less than it cost to build mine) and if I hadn't already accumulated all my parts, I would have gladly bought a set from him. I haven't seen them on e-bay for a long time, but I haven't been looking lately. I have a Hammond XK-2on top of a Roland RD-700 on a Ultimate Support stand. that I had to extensively modify to make the pedals fit. I even made a bench out of U.S. pieces and plywood. Then my wife and I upholstered it for comfort.

Bass players hate me, too...LOL
At least we play in REAL TIME and do not SEQUENCE to put a fellow musician out of work!!!

I love playing with Hammond B3 players. Jimmy Smith, Joey DeFrancesco and Shirley Scott have always been my "listening to learn" and also enjoy players. Great idea for a group!

The Jazz Network is exactly what the title suggests, a place where you get to mix and mingle with those who have not only an appreciation for Jazz but a forum to hear new up and coming artists as well. I've hooked up with so many of my old friends that I've lost contact with over the years here and it's been a great place to meet folk, appreciate good music and Musicianship. What an incredible idea!!
