Let's Create The Jazz Network Worldwide Award Show!!

I'm sick and tired of seeing that Jazz doesn't get its due at the Grammy's, It's time we all come together and have a strong voice... Who's with me?

talk about a brilliant idea! jazz has too long stood still and been overlooked.. we got rid of the bush mentality in politics so now it's time to do it in music! the problem is jazz requires people to listen.. to think.. we've had more than enough of musical fast food.. time to start cooking again.. :-)

(sorry not speak English ... I brought with software! correct my mistakes of language, please)
I am whole-heartedly with you ... Jazz music is my motive, my power of creation .... Jazz is too often the poor relation of the various musical forms. It is one of the only live music, which does not "play back"!
I dream of being invited to the USA to perform live painting performance with jazz! and help to understand the communicative force and vibration of the music ... one day, perhaps ? :-)

Sounds great! Just what do you have in mind? Some of this networks members (like Phil Kelly) have been nominated and possibly winners of Grammy awards, it might be good to get their input on how to help the cause ;-)

I was thinking the same thing while watching the Grammy's the other night. No mention of any jazz artists winning..had to look it up online to see. Great idea! Count me in. Thanks Jaijai!

I'd like to see that too; I think it's a function of numbers, and sales, however.

You are right Jaijai, and there should be a new awards show just for Jazz, to celebrate the high level of artistry and creativity which makes this genre so unique. And to celebrate the Jazz luminaries from the past as well.

Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.

I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.

My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."

Let's be audacious, my friends!
