Let's Create The Jazz Network Worldwide Award Show!!

I'm sick and tired of seeing that Jazz doesn't get its due at the Grammy's, It's time we all come together and have a strong voice... Who's with me?

The most talented and creative musicians are into Jazz. It is a shame to be so over looked.

OK ...There seems to be a clear consensus. Its time for action....all we need is a plan with some objectives. Oh .... and we need some good soldiers.

Jaijai, Count me in on anything that helps the furtherance of this wonderful music, but beware 'tainting' the music with the capitalist 'Tar Baby' syndrome. Jazz shines as a beacon of honesty and progressiveness in a Sargasso sea of mediocrity. These comments are not meant to blunt your enthusiasm, on the contrary its wonderful to be part of this rapidly growing site, one that reflects the true interests of its members and is not merely a satelite of some financially motivated network. Good luck with your project. Tommy Thomas

I agree with JaiJai. The Jazz Network has made me more keenly aware that there are lots of artists, musicians, writers, producers and fans into Jazz that I could have imagined. Nothing is more noble than being recognized by one's peers.

In 2003, I thought unequivocally, George Duke's "Face the Music" was the best album of the year! All the musicians working on that project gave their hearts and souls, had lots fun and the average jazz lover could feel the energy. . and passion of the music. I was surprised that this project did not get any recognition!

So yes, I want to do something! TerryB
