Hi, Friends,

I just spent the weekend in L.A. with the HAL Awards and had the pleasure of performing songs from my new album Indiana Rain at the The Legends of Soul Concert Saturday night at the Aqua Lounge in Beverly Hills with Brenton Woods, Vermettya Royster (from The Sisters Love) and Brenda Holloway.

The single Indiana Rain is playing on the radio and I'm really excited for you to hear it and let me know what you think. I'm available for interviews and we are doing promotions with the radio stations for their listeners who are requesting Indiana Rain available now on iTunes and Amazon.

You can reply to this email or we can hook up on Myspace, Facebook or Twitter. For more information about bookings and speaking engagements visit my website www.SandyKastel.com.

Hope you enjoy it!

Playing a unique mix of traditional, modern, contemporary, new age, cool and easy listening jazz. Some of the best new and unsigned artists added weekly. Smooth Jazz when you need it.

Okay people...everybody is asking for airplay, but nobody's making the moves. Some of us have radio shows, and we are set-up to help the indie artists. Darlins, you have to come to us.

I have a radio show called Jazzin Em Up With Cres O'Neal, http://www.blogtalkradio.com/cres-oneal. The show airs on Wednesdays, from 1 - 2 pm EST. So, if you have music you want played on the air, then contact me. I'm here to help.:o)

The Jazz Network is exactly what the title suggests, a place where you get to mix and mingle with those who have not only an appreciation for Jazz but a forum to hear new up and coming artists as well. I've hooked up with so many of my old friends that I've lost contact with over the years here and it's been a great place to meet folk, appreciate good music and Musicianship. What an incredible idea!!

Barbara Carroll On Piano Jazz

Pianist and singer Barbara Carroll was host Marian McPartland's second guest during the first season of Piano Jazz. Thirty years later, Carroll makes a return appearance to reminisce with her friend about their experiences at the Hickory House and the Oak Room. Carroll gives a charming performance of "Very Early" and McPartland improvises a musical portrait of her guest.

Duke Ellington: Highlights Of His Twilight

The great composer and bandleader was distraught over the 1967 death of Billy Strayhorn, his songwriting and arranging partner of 28 years. But Ellington took Strayhorn's passing as an impetus, born of necessity, to increase his own productivity. Here are five examples.

Chris Potter Quartet On JazzSet

At the Village Vanguard, one flight down from the hubbub of New York City, in a tight space packed with people, we're about to embark on a musical odyssey by sea. Our captain is saxophonist Chris Potter, who's launching his Odyssey-inspired album The Sirens.

Pat Metheny And John Zorn: A Vivid Sound World

The two artists are known opposites in the world of instrumental music. On Metheny's latest, the jazz guitarist wrings an unexpectedly visual listening experience from Zorn's knotty compositions.

Sarah Vaughan: A New Box Set Revels In Glorious Imperfections

Divine: The Jazz Albums, 1954-1958 packs four CDs with Vaughan's music, recorded live or in the studio with bands big and small. Two live albums from Chicago nightclubs are standouts, partly when a performance threatens to slide off the rails.
