I've been blessed in so many ways that I still count them everyday I wake. I've in the radio business for more than 35 years and have worked many a format but Jazz has always been a passion that will never go away. I was Morning Host/MD at WLVE/Miami, and most recently Morning Host at WJJZ/Philadelphia. I'm currently working with a couple of jazz artists, and I can always spare a moment to critique new product. I love jazz in all it's many forms, styles and genres. I'm all about preserving, cultivating and most importantly, educating our young people about the wonder, the beauty, the freeflowing artform that is "Jazz" And so they'll understand that today's music would not be possible, it it weren't for "Jazz"

Hey Brother Al, how goes everything? I see you live in the Atlanta area. I'm a Visual Artist, and I'll be doing the National Black Arts Festival July 31 - Aug. 2, 2009 out their. I'd like to invite you out to the festival if you're schedule permits. Hopefully you can come and check me out, and get a look at my work.
I am writing to inquire about what I need to do to secure airplay for my client's CD. Kevin Whalum's sophomore project was produced by George Duke and Rex Rideout and is a great work. I have published a few of his trax on his JNW site, or I can send them to you, via email, if that be your wish. Please reach out to me and let me know your thoughts and if receiving airplay is a possibility.
Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.
I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.
My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."
