Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.
I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.
My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."
Let's be audacious, my friends!
Buster Williams

have fun!
PS tried to add you as friend on MySpace but it did not work..
take care! P
Just to say caught a clip of you with Weather Report along with Miroslav etc and indeed Jon Surman and Skid (Alan Skidmore) on flute - by far some of the best Brit players who had the sense to get out of the UK! Just fabuluous. As fresh now as was then. And streets ahead of much supposed 'new' stuff around now.
Plus there's definitely a buzz happening about the resurgence of such as RTF etc and what you oioneered. Certainly it's rubbed off on my band and as you know I'll always be grateful to you and Tony W Joe Wayne Miles et al. So much to be done now and really made the most of. Maybe one day we might yet share the same stage. Who knows? It'd be an honour!
Kindest
Peter

I'm glad that you, Joey and Larry had a great tour and I hope to see you when I get out west or when you come back east.
Say "Hey" to the "Fam" from Uncle Warren....Ha!
Was playing 'Mind Transplant' (the album) still one of my (and the band's) favorite albums. Sounds as fresh today as the day it was recorded and has remained a huge influence on me/us musically. And of course there's the wonderful (and tragic) Tommy Bolin. We've got a new young hugely gifted Italian guitarist with the band now, and he's been totally blown away by Tommy's playing. Who knows what else Tommy may have achieved. But the legacy remains. What's so important about such work is its sheer guts, fire and passion, essences SO badly lacking in much of jazz/rock now.
We hope to redress the balance.
Huge respect
Sincerely
Peter
