- I have been playing jazz for 20 years. I was Classically trained and have perfect pitch and just wanted to play without all the political stuff. I was on the road with several bands; The 4 Coins, Wilson Pickett and some lesser known ones. I have worked with Danny Gatton, Emily Remler, BB King and Louis Prima, lived in Las Vegas, Oklahoma and Los Angeles and came back to Pgh due to my Dads death in 2005. I am a big advocate of women in jazz and music in particular. I consider myself a musician not a "chick singer" or "chick piano player" or anything else.I am not a Diva. I have a problem with giving myself credit if anything, but will speak up if I feel exploited or ignored. Music is a beautiful thing...it needs to stay tht way!

I could fix the car, or any gadet in the house and I am really a talented singer and pianist, but you wouldn't know it by the songs it took me months to convert an upload! Any suggestions appreciated.
The Jazz Network is exactly what the title suggests, a place where you get to mix and mingle with those who have not only an appreciation for Jazz but a forum to hear new up and coming artists as well. I've hooked up with so many of my old friends that I've lost contact with over the years here and it's been a great place to meet folk, appreciate good music and Musicianship. What an incredible idea!!
