Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.

I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.

My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."

Let's be audacious, my friends!

When it comes to music, in particular the reading and playing of said, I am hopeless.I so wish I could play an… Continue

HI Barry,
Congrats to you and your wife and your life in Japan.
I really want to recruit you to be a new friend and hopefully a new fan of my jazz. How many new jazz artists used to be on the radio in Japan? Well, I'm proud to say I was on the air on the Far East Network (FEN) for 7 years back in the 90's. You can download my music at e-music, itunes or at amazon you can order a hard copy I think. Well thanks for loving jazz so much! We need people like you in a most jazzy way.
Stay jazzy,
Rita

Hi Barry, I would love to hear from you by email. Look forward to your messages. I wish I could get to Japan to pick up on the scene there. Maybe someday. I will check out your videos when I have a bit more time. I'm off out singing this afternoon

Hi Barry, nice to have you as a friend. I don't get too many chances to listen to the live broadcasts on Pure Jazz Radio because of the 5 hour time difference but I do listen to the 24 hour recorded streaming and weekend programming as often as I can. I am very grateful to Rich for playing my cd and for allowing me to promote the Scottish jazz scene.
