Tell us a little about your background...
I have been a musician/singer all my life,I started playing at age six,and it all snowballed from there!! I played acoustic guitar for many years, and shortly after my brother gave me a beat up electric guitar & amp !!From there I played with many individuals in bands with people a lot older than me. It kind of kick started my first real bands where I learned to play lead and sing a little bit. After that I played some gigs throughout high school, and also participated in playing guitar & bass in the school musicals. I graduated early and went on to become a classical guitar major in college( because my music theory grades were so high ( as I slept through most of those classes) so my teacher helped me move on into that phase of my learning. It was great for me to learn about using my right hand to finger pick!! I also became chorally trained as a vocalist which was useful! I played more and then Enrolled in the Guitar Institute of Technology, where I played with the likes of Norman Brown , and Richard Smith, as well as Paul Gilbert , and Billy Sheehan!! I graduated at the top of my class and instantly loved ( and still do love) jazz , fusion funk, rock and also some classical music!! I love guitarists like Scott Henderson , Russ Freeman , Craig Chaquico, and so on.

I have a new jazz-fusion band called Streetbeat! We are in the process of breaking out here in Orlando! It is a long road that I am greatly enthusiastic about but we are just starting to walk that road!! We are putting our ears to the ground and we are keeping our eyes on the streets
so we can see and hear what is next for Streetbeat!!!
I would like to make connections with the jazz network!! thank you very much, it is my distinct honor and privilege to be here on the jazz network worldwide!!! Dan

The Jazz Network is exactly what the title suggests, a place where you get to mix and mingle with those who have not only an appreciation for Jazz but a forum to hear new up and coming artists as well. I've hooked up with so many of my old friends that I've lost contact with over the years here and it's been a great place to meet folk, appreciate good music and Musicianship. What an incredible idea!!

Pat Metheny And John Zorn: A Vivid Sound World

The two artists are known opposites in the world of instrumental music. On Metheny's latest, the jazz guitarist wrings an unexpectedly visual listening experience from Zorn's knotty compositions.

Sarah Vaughan: A New Box Set Revels In Glorious Imperfections

Divine: The Jazz Albums, 1954-1958 packs four CDs with Vaughan's music, recorded live or in the studio with bands big and small. Two live albums from Chicago nightclubs are standouts, partly when a performance threatens to slide off the rails.

Rudresh Mahanthappa On Piano Jazz

Mahanthappa brings an explosive blend of jazz and South Indian classical music to the studio.

Grady Tate On Piano Jazz

Grady Tate began his jazz career as a much-celebrated drummer, backing such icons as Wes Montgomery, Ella Fitzgerald, and Quincy Jones. Tate has since traded in his skins for a microphone at center stage, where he delivers smooth and soulful baritone vocals. With pianist John di Martino, Tate sings "Everybody Loves My Baby" and "Where Do You Start."

Woody Herman At 100: 'A Blues Player From His Heart'

He was a soulful reedman, an amazing talent scout for decades and a bandleader of one of the country's most popular acts. Born in 1913, Herman led "Thundering Herds" that were both big draws and well-respected by the likes of Igor Stravinsky. Here are five recordings which still sound fresh today.
