- I'm a composer and guitarist with 35 years of professional performing, recording, and teaching. I have two CD's completed of my own work to date, with another in process. I also compose, perform, and record classical guitar. My interests lie in crossover both in my jazz work and classical work. I believe in the feeling of the music, the ability to communicate to a listener and engage them in the musical story. Technique and knowledge are secondary to making a coherent and emotional artistic statement, and I feel that displays of chops for ego self-gratification miss the point in being blessed with the gift of music. Jim Hall once said, "A note is just a convenient way to get from one silence to another." I agree.

The Jazz Network is exactly what the title suggests, a place where you get to mix and mingle with those who have not only an appreciation for Jazz but a forum to hear new up and coming artists as well. I've hooked up with so many of my old friends that I've lost contact with over the years here and it's been a great place to meet folk, appreciate good music and Musicianship. What an incredible idea!!
