Tell us a little about your background...
Jazz singer, family person, student of life and music, I love to perform and to entertain with music that is close to my heart. Sometimes it's the lyric that touches me, sometimes it's the groove, sometimes it's the changes, and most often it is all three that make a great tune that I want to present to you. I work with the finest jazz musicians in South Florida interpreting The Great American Songbook, Bossa Nova, and Latin jazz at concerts, clubs and private events.

Ever have to sing with laryngitis?

Posted on November 23, 2008 at 5:00am 5 Comments

For some years I worked in corporate America (for health insurance) while raising my two children. One of the side effects of that life was the exposure to chilly A/C and the ills of the dozens of coworkers in the confined offices and meetings. I was singing on the side (I prefer to say I was singing and "working" on the side...), but was constantly plagued with colds, bronchitis, laryngitis and throat infections. I have not experienced a cold of that magnitude or even laryngitis until now, as… Continue

I submitted this article to the above publication. I was asked to keep it to 500 words, which was a challenge since it would be easy to write several pages on this topic! Editors gave it a tweak in order to publish. I hope you enjoy my overview of jazz and I welcome your comments and insight into your definition of jazz.

Welcome! Nice to meet you! We hope you'll come to listen to our music, and we hope you'll enjoy it!
We'll be very appreciative of your opinion!
Warm regards from Italy!

Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.

I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.

My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."

Let's be audacious, my friends!
