Tell us a little about your background...
Delton has established himself as a new up and coming Smooth Jazz artist. Born and raised in New York Delton initially picked up the drums and trumpet at nine years of age, playing from Grade School thru High School. During those informative years Delton’s mother, (Irene) and father (Delton SR.) encouraged him take piano and guitar lessons which allowed him to experiment and grow musically.

After graduating High School and attending College Delton served with the U.S. Air Force, but still continued to play drums with local musicians in Germany. Delton says his travels while serving in the military also opened his eyes and ears towards all different types of music and cultures. Travels to places like Norway, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Iraq, Luxemburg, France, Iceland and many more only fueled his musical and cultural interest even more.

In 2004 Delton began playing sax and was able to study with people like Tony Hayes, Willy DuPont, Jesse Jones JR, for just over a year Delton has been blessed to study under the direction and guidance of Mr. Walter Beasley.

In 2007, Delton released “Just Let me Loose” which opened the doors for him to play in a variety of settings gaining recognition and capturing airplay at some of the hottest radio shows across the country: KUNV (NV), The Coast, Indie Showcase Delton was voted the number one artist on the Smooth Atlanta (www.SmoothAtlanta.com) 02/08 which was an impressive feat for an independent musician.

Delton has also joined Musicians On call a nonprofit organization formed in 1999, which brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. www.musiciansoncall.org uses music to promote and complement the healing process for patients, families and caregivers.

Currently Delton has just finished up the highly anticipated follow up CD, “Back In Your Arms Again” which will release this spring accompanied by a video from his track “After The Club” from his new CD.

Delton Walker’s artistry, commitment and influence continue to grow.

Dear Delton:

Sweet sound byte. Sorry I never heard of you before this, but if you have recorded, please send me your cd, which I'm sure I will enjoy and put into my playlist rotation when I launch my new radio show.

Check out my previous show site at smooth917fm.8m.com.

I will also be working hard to showcase many of the region's up-and-coming artists like yourselves live in concert.

Thanks and keep up the Smooth Work!
