Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, I grew up in a musical family, studying classical piano and listening to jazz and blues. I began playing piano at the age of three and won numerous awards at national piano competitions. Fortunately, my love of jazz survived my 15 years of classical piano training. I put my musical career aside for marriage and family, I began singing again after relocating to Atlanta, Georgia. Currently residing in Los Angeles, I perform at some of the city’s leading jazz venues and jazz festivals throughout the country. My first CD entitled In the Company of Friends, has garnered critical acclaim and is being re-released in Japan in August, 2008. My latest recording, produced and arranged by Geoffrey Keezer, will be released on August 12, 2008 by High Note Records on their Savant label.

Hi Gary! Thanks so much for connecting and for your complementary comments. I still have some family and lots of friends in Allentown ... I need to get back for a visit!! In the meantime, have a cheese steak for me!
Hey Denise, I was surfing the jazz network, (joined today) and saw that you were born in Allentown Pa. Well I still live in the Lehigh Valley--Easton Pa, and just thought I would say hello to a home town artist. Your clips sound wonderful---loads of talent----the best of luck to you in your singing career.
Thanks so much for your kind words on my latest post/blog/review/etc.
I purchased (itunes) your recording of "When Summer Turns to Snow". I think you are a marvelous singer. Love listening to you.
Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.
I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.
My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."
