Tell us a little about your background...
A hearty welcome to Felix Alexander Carter Jr. Born under the Zodiac Sign of Capricorn, January 10, 1957 in Montgomery, Alabama. Felix grew up in Music and his talent is ever so free flowing ever still growing. Playing and singing in small clubs throughout the Bay Area for the last seven years, Felix, was giving the nickname of "Flex", as we look under the dictionary for the word "flex";we find the meaning as being responsive to change, adaptable. As of his first CD Release UnSpoken Word, on Morning Star Records you can hear his flexibilities. Aside from running DownStairs Studio's in San Jose, CA, Flex is proficient on guitar and keyboards, usually lays down most of the instrumental tracks on his productions. I ask Flex, what convince you to do this project? He replied, there is a style I created kinda like a jazz, latin, reggae feel type of flavor, just take a listen to the first track "Sunday". Flex insists he doesn't write simply for the sake of the craft. "I write when there is a project on the table," he says. "I don't just come in with songs; I talk with the artist and find out what they will or won't sing about. I don't care who you are -- whether you are a great artist or just someone trying to fake it -- the hit process still begins with a great song. There is no getting around that." While many of his peers wonder how he as been so productive in such a short time, Flex says it's just a matter of rolling up the sleeves. Wife Felisa oversees the affairs of Flex the artist, but Flex himself handles business surrounding assignments of his Seldora Music Production Company, only calling in his lawyer to do the paperwork. "You just do it," he states. With alot of attendees on this project, the meetings surrounding our working together took longer than actual production. There's no science to it. You decide on the song, I lay down the track, we go in the studio and cut it................

hey Felix. I am looking for musicians that want to join a band/group. Let me know if u know of anyone. I need keys and bass. i am shifting my genre to R&B/Neo-Soul. And the players that i had for my jazz quartet are not comfortable with this style as much as they are with jazz. So the search is on. Let me know! thanks!
