Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.
I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.
My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."

Worked with George Huff again this year. We talked about us singing with him in Bermuda. He's got a DVD. I'm trying to get him to send me a copy. If he does I'll send it to you as well. I understand a real good friend of mine is a colleague. Janice Pendarvis. She teaches there on Mondays. Thanks for being in touch. Hopefully we can collaborate on something musical soon!
How's it going? Remember me from one of your first bands "Baltimore" w/ bro Tony, Yogi, Joe Blacker etc...? It's been a long long time. Hope all's well with you - how are your brothers? I heard you were teaching at Berklee - you had amazing chops @ 16 sister. :-) Drop me a note!!
Cooooool! Also there were a couple of days last summer you were in my thoughts, I did a gig with a vocalist that did a version of one of your arrangements so I had to learn it off of a recording of you, the tune On A Clear Day that starts churchy than swings, KILLIN''!!! I listened to that thing for about 2 or 3 days even though I had already learned it because of how great it was, beautiful...
Give me a holler the next time that you come to Berklee. Can't believe I didn't see you when you were here. I've been teaching voice here for 10 years now, doing spot dates, short tours and CDs etc.... keeping busy. G

I've been to Berklee a few times as a guest doing master class.I hope I can come back sometime
Hi Gabrielle, you came and sat in on a gig with me, Gary Grainger, and Blues Webb in Baltimore a few years ago and were killin'! Hope to cross paths again and make some music with ya and hope that all is well in your world. Peace-Benjie
