Tell us a little about your background...
Jonathan Laurince is an exiting singer, a virtuous Trumpet Player, an amazing Conductor, a Music Producer and Song writer, recognized for his talents in Jazz, Classical and Gospel music. He was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti where he received his first musical training at his Church. Later on he went to the most prestigious School of music of Haiti Ecole St.Trinite where he became one of the most prolific trumpet players around his country under the guidance of his mentor Sir. Rene Jean Jumeau. He represented the School and his country in several Music Festivals in the United States. Mr. Laurince currently lives in Florida with his family. He attended several master classes/clinics and already shared the stage with some Haiti music legends such as Boulo Valcourt, Reginald Policard, Strings, Gaguy Depest ¦some Jazz and Pop music icons such as John Faddis, Wynton Marsalis, Allan Vizzutti, Fred Miles, Alicia Keys, Melton Mustafa. He already released two albums with his Gospel group, the first entitled "Thank You Lord" which he received the Best Gospel Artist award of the year 2005 at The 2nd Annual Haitian Christian Music Award from C.E.M.A and "No One Can Do" on april 5th, 2008. Jonathan is currently working on his Gospel/Jazz solo project with his Jazz Band(Jonathan Laurince & Friends Jazz Band). Mr. Laurince released on January 2009 his First Smash Hit Single entitled "CHANGE"(yes we can) along with it's music video that is already being aired on major Networks such as BET, MTV1, MTV2 and received standing ovation whenever he perfom the song. On August 22nd 2009 he released his First Live Recording project entitled “An Evening Of Praise and Worship With Jonathan & the True Worshipers”. He is presently just released his second hit single entitled “I know Haiti Will Rise Again” for the Haiti Relief Effort along with its music video illustrating His country situation after the earthquake.
