Tell us a little about your background...
Considering his family's musical background,it's no suprise that Jackie Clark is gradually becoming one of the more in-demand bassists throughout the U.S."Growing up in a musical environment at home helped create my passion for music. It's just that I didn't realize it until after college" ,the bassist states. I thought I would play pro sports like some of my other friends growing up!" he says with a laugh.

The music world is a better place since the day he stopped throwing touchdowns as a high school quarterback and picked up a bass guitar! Once he realized what he was destined to become,he started to agressively pursue a career in the music business.

Jackie has since provided air-tight pocket on live and studio recordings or live concerts with the likes of the late O'Landa Draper, gospel icons Shirley Caesar,Clark Sisters and Yolanda Adams,Tennessee Mass Choir,COGIC Mass Choir.

Though gospel music is his first love,he was eventually hired to hold down the bottom for some of R&B biggest names beginning with Howard Hewett in 2001.That led to a few stints with other male vocalists such as Keith Washington,Glenn Jones. He's also held the house band bass chair for legendary artists like Dionne Warwick,Jerry Butler,The Emotions,Carl Carlton,Freda Payne,Candi Staton,Barbara Mason,Gene Chandler,Lenny Williams,Peabo Bryson,Deniece Williams,Russell Thompkins Jr and The New Stylistics,Bonnie Tyler,Dorothy Moore to modern day artists Deborah Cox,Mya, Oscar winners Triple Six Mafia.

His biggest break, however, was landing a 6 week European tour with former J-Records recordng artist,Angie Stone. This tour allowed him to be seen on the international stage and live DVD recordings with her."Playing with Angie definitely helped me to become visible to the world and I'm grateful for that opportunity!" Jackie says. That tour also landed him several endorsement opportunities with Chicago's Lakland basses, rising star luthier Pavel De La Fuente of Dallas and EBS Professional bass systems of Sweden.

To this day,he can still be seen with Howard Hewett on many occasions as well as 80's sensation,Shalamar. He also currently holds the bass chair for TV producer David Gest's,"World Concerts Orchestra".David is best known for producing Michael Jackson's 30th Anniversary CBS special in 2001.

Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.

I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.

My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."

Let's be audacious, my friends!

Buster Williams
