Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.

I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.

My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."

Let's be audacious, my friends!

Aloha Keahi,

Thank you very much for inviting me to the Jazz Network! I feel so honored that you remembered me. I immediately thought of your beauty, grace, charm, stage pressence and golden voice. It's been nearly a year since the MLK march -- that's where I heard you for the first time and you captured me while singing the blues. Then I knew, I wanted to write something for you. There's only one other female singer that makes me quiver -- Patty LaBelle! Thank you for being beautiful inside and out... Much Mahalo!

Aloha Keahi,

It's been a while and I think it's about time to get my ukulele back from you. This borrowing went a little further then I realized, and I'm sure you made good use of it. Now with my kids, I would like to some day give it to them. So can we make arrangements to get my ukulele back.

Zanuck, could you help me with this since I gave it to you to lend out. Could you also try to get in touch with Keahi some how to get the uke back and the case it was in. I no longer want to sell it. I'm assuming it's not in the condition that I left it with you. I just hope it is not damaged in any way.

My name is Joseph Edwards. I'm a 20 year old saxophone player attending the University of Maryland. First let me say I hope that this message doesn't bother you. I just wanted to write inviting you to listen to my newest album , "The People's Gathering." It's a collection of all instrumental, hymns and original songs.

Sound samples are available on my page or on my website ( I'd love to hear any feedback on the album...

Here's a couple reviews I've gotten so far...

-"It has been truly refreshing to listen to this young man! From the sounds that attract the older generations, with a modern day twist (Wade In the Water; Down By The Riverside), to the more contemporary tones "Nana's Song" and "Just Wanna Praise You", Joseph Edwards has really blended together something special. This is simply a "must add" to your collection! Believe me, you will not regret this one!" --Michael Stevens (cdbaby)

-"This CD is wonderful. I got a pre-release from the artist a few weeks back. I listen to it everyday! I really like Nana's Song. Overall, it's a wonderful collection of songs...some are familiar hymns (like Blessed Assurance) and others are originals. You've gotta add this one to your collection"--Rebecca Porter (cdbaby)

Also, if you'd like to buy the album, it's available on iTunes and (search "The Peoples Gathering").

Once again, I hope this message doesn't bother you. Just trying to branch out as best I can...

Happy Holidays,
