Hello friends,

welcome on my site! I apologize that I won't be able to write a comment to everyone who sends me an invite, because I'm busy in other virtual worlds as well. Some of you might know me already. But be sure that I'm happy to have you all as friends!
I'll try to answer questions and messages, though, best I can!

Hopefully you are enjoying my pictures and the music which I uploaded.

Some of the pictures are taken by my husband at the concerts which we visited, some are not...

Hadrien FERAUD is the one who is fascinating me the most at the moment and if you want to be up to date with the latest news, visit my blog on myspace besides his own pages of course.

Hi Kerstin,

I live in Duisburg but soon in Mülheim an der Ruhr! And you? If you live not too far away, perhaps you may want to hear a vocalist,(although I realize that you like bassists!) that`s me on the 26. Sept. in Duisburg in der Säule mit Pianist Thomas Rückert from Köln. Anyways great to hear from you! All the best!

Hello Kerstin,
Thanks for your comments. The bass player depends on the project, you will find more infos on my website if you wish too. For the new cd "Oscar", Serge plays on tour with Marc-Michel Le Bévillon, but the cd wasn't recorded with him anyway.
About Germany, Serge Forté has already played (Berlin, Münich, Köln, Düsseldorf, and many others), and a tune for his very first cd "Vaïna" is still playing on a radio as opening for a show (I didn't succeed to identify which one, but we get royalties), since 1992 !
Building a tour is a difficult job, even for big names, I really know about it, but this is not a reason not to work on it, and succeed at the end!

The Jazz Network is exactly what the title suggests, a place where you get to mix and mingle with those who have not only an appreciation for Jazz but a forum to hear new up and coming artists as well. I've hooked up with so many of my old friends that I've lost contact with over the years here and it's been a great place to meet folk, appreciate good music and Musicianship. What an incredible idea!!

Pat Metheny And John Zorn: A Vivid Sound World

The two artists are known opposites in the world of instrumental music. On Metheny's latest, the jazz guitarist wrings an unexpectedly visual listening experience from Zorn's knotty compositions.

Sarah Vaughan: A New Box Set Revels In Glorious Imperfections

Divine: The Jazz Albums, 1954-1958 packs four CDs with Vaughan's music, recorded live or in the studio with bands big and small. Two live albums from Chicago nightclubs are standouts, partly when a performance threatens to slide off the rails.

Rudresh Mahanthappa On Piano Jazz

Mahanthappa brings an explosive blend of jazz and South Indian classical music to the studio.

Grady Tate On Piano Jazz

Grady Tate began his jazz career as a much-celebrated drummer, backing such icons as Wes Montgomery, Ella Fitzgerald, and Quincy Jones. Tate has since traded in his skins for a microphone at center stage, where he delivers smooth and soulful baritone vocals. With pianist John di Martino, Tate sings "Everybody Loves My Baby" and "Where Do You Start."

Woody Herman At 100: 'A Blues Player From His Heart'

He was a soulful reedman, an amazing talent scout for decades and a bandleader of one of the country's most popular acts. Born in 1913, Herman led "Thundering Herds" that were both big draws and well-respected by the likes of Igor Stravinsky. Here are five recordings which still sound fresh today.
