Collaborative ventures are planned with associates in Manchester (my musical background), germany, switzerland, france.

The current Kevin Davy group, is a six-piece lineup. With its roots firmly in Jazz. Davy has tended to use small ensemble for as a vehicle for his composition and musical direction.
The compositions are originals by Davy. The music is underpinned by an urban edge, employing grooves from Nu Jazz, and harmony derived from blues, gospel, and the near east. This is reflected in the trumpet tonality, and the textures brought to the music, by instruments such as: tablas, congos, and scat vocals.

Over the last year, Kevin has toured with the acclaimed vocalist; Finley Quaye, in UAE, South Africa and around Europe.

Hi Kevin - we just joined and think we might have some common ground both in terms of musical tastes and location (London). I had the pleasure of playing a festival in Porto last year with Sheik Tidiane and Pipo Marques also on the bill...I was playing guitar with Paban Das Baul. Also a lifetime ago played with Cheryl Alleyne in a band led by a very odd American character called Eve! Cheers...from Margo of Jackout

The Jazz Network is exactly what the title suggests, a place where you get to mix and mingle with those who have not only an appreciation for Jazz but a forum to hear new up and coming artists as well. I've hooked up with so many of my old friends that I've lost contact with over the years here and it's been a great place to meet folk, appreciate good music and Musicianship. What an incredible idea!!

Chris Potter Quartet On JazzSet

At the Village Vanguard, one flight down from the hubbub of New York City, in a tight space packed with people, we're about to embark on a musical odyssey by sea. Our captain is saxophonist Chris Potter, who's launching his Odyssey-inspired album The Sirens.

Pat Metheny And John Zorn: A Vivid Sound World

The two artists are known opposites in the world of instrumental music. On Metheny's latest, the jazz guitarist wrings an unexpectedly visual listening experience from Zorn's knotty compositions.

Sarah Vaughan: A New Box Set Revels In Glorious Imperfections

Divine: The Jazz Albums, 1954-1958 packs four CDs with Vaughan's music, recorded live or in the studio with bands big and small. Two live albums from Chicago nightclubs are standouts, partly when a performance threatens to slide off the rails.

Rudresh Mahanthappa On Piano Jazz

Mahanthappa brings an explosive blend of jazz and South Indian classical music to the studio.

Grady Tate On Piano Jazz

Grady Tate began his jazz career as a much-celebrated drummer, backing such icons as Wes Montgomery, Ella Fitzgerald, and Quincy Jones. Tate has since traded in his skins for a microphone at center stage, where he delivers smooth and soulful baritone vocals. With pianist John di Martino, Tate sings "Everybody Loves My Baby" and "Where Do You Start."
