Hello Everyone,I'm Kim. The hats I wear are: Gospel Jazz Artist, Music Producer, Engineer, Vocal Coach, Seminarian, Educator. I love fusing the two genres together (Gospel and Jazz). That makes perfect sense to me.Blessings

Kim...love your style...gospel, jazz ...with some funk, it's all perfect...and it makes my heart and soul dance ( which in Maine in winter is a task with all the snow...)Enjoy the pic of "Sweet Emma Barret" which I shot in '74 at Preservation Hall. For all that you do, Thank you Thank you Thank you...and blessings for you always. All my very best to you and all those lucky enough to be in your life....always b
Hi Kim... loved your "Profile", as I'm ALL OVER this genre' of Music as well. I actually meld-into that quite a few years ago, In the DC Area with my group "Sacred Groove" - Alan "Ace" Cooper on Bass and Tony Waters on keyboards... we still hit together every now and then between DC and Atlanta area. If you're ever in the Atlanta area, you should come and visit my church at St. Paul A.M.E / 1540 Pryor Rd.... you'd be quite surpized to hear where we are "in Music/Ministerial Service"... it's like being at a "Yellow Jackets Concert"; we're pretty eclectic in our approach there, as the arrangements and even original compositions are of a high/Technical calibre' if I do say so myself! So give us a holla' sometime!
In DC/Metro area, we came out of "Shiloh Baptist Church" in Alexandria.... an-ti-way...
It's been nice sharing with you and I hope to hear from you sometime, OK?
Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.
I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.
My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."
