"I'm a vocalist in the NYC area, but willing to travel. I've worked in club date bands for many years, so have experience in many different styles. You can check my page for more information. I have charts."
"Thanks Clifton. Yes, I love singing standards. I'll be working on a CD project this year. I just have a promo CD which has most of the songs that are on this site. Hope to see you at the Seabreeze when you're in town."
Livia was born and raised in New York City. She enjoyed singing all her life but only took it up professionally at age 24. Since then Livia has been performing in the NY Tri-State area as lead vocalist of various top bands at some of the well known entertainment venues in the NYC area. She has opened for David Clayton Thomas and Blood Sweat and Tears and performed with Paul Schaeffer of the David Letterman Show.
Livia is an energetic and engaging performer bringing a diverse range of styles drawing from the influences of Dinah Washington, Barbra Streisand, Linda Rondstadt, Judy Garland, Nancy Wilson and Aretha Franklin. During this time, Livia has continued to hone her craft by studying with renowned vocal coach Jim Carson.
Livia is now focused on a solo career and has recorded a new CD that is an expression of her varied musical influences such as jazz, R&B, swing and pop. She has accomplished this by employing musicians from various musical backgrounds under the direction of arranger and producer Rob Filomena. Livia and Rob brought in a great cast of musicians such as Sarah Jane Cion on piano along with Grammy nominated Phil Palombi on bass, SYOTOS horn section consisting of Chris Washburne, John Walsh and Ole Mathisen and Grammy Award Winning Engineer, Luis F. Herrera.

Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.
I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.
My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."
