- I cut my teeth singing jazz in Cleveland and Columbus, OH. My father is a drummer and he raised me on Ella, Frank, Chic and Rosemary to name a few. Out in LA I played the Ritz Carton, The Four Seasons and I opened for Chuck Mangione at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, and Bob Dorough back in Columbus. Like most singers I grew up singing in the church. I was surrounded by the rich, dark melodies and Arabic percussion of the Byzantine Catholic faith.
My first record is entitled No Frills, for which I wrote the title track. My second jazz record is called Chasing Dreams. I wrote a few of the tracks on it, including the title. I am joined by Alphonso Johnson and Ndugu Chancler to name a few. Chasing Dreams received favorable reviews in Singer Magazine and is due out this summer, as is a pop record called Free As A Dove, for which I wrote all but one of the songs.
Though I have some great accomplishments under my belt as an artist, my goals are still to continue to collaborate with the best in the world, travel and perform worldwide and earn a solid living as a full-time independent artist. I think this can be done with or without a label today. Distribution and publishing remain cornerstones in the business. Both can be grasped as an independent artist.
I am excited about The Jazz Network Worldwide because Jaijai really has her finger on the pulse of good marketing and promotion. This is a great portal on the web and it reaches a large audience. It's helping me meet my end goal of broadening my fan base and creating a meaningful presence.
You can currently purchase tracks from three of my albums on the music player for $.99 each. It carries a sneak peak of Chasing Dreams and Free As A Dove. It

The Jazz Network is exactly what the title suggests, a place where you get to mix and mingle with those who have not only an appreciation for Jazz but a forum to hear new up and coming artists as well. I've hooked up with so many of my old friends that I've lost contact with over the years here and it's been a great place to meet folk, appreciate good music and Musicianship. What an incredible idea!!
