THE BAMHUM is a new wind musical instrument made out of bamboo invented by Moa Subong of Abiogenesis from Dimapur in India. Brief Profile:
Abiogenesis is a 4 piece fusion/ progressive/mixed genre band from Nagaland, India . Not satisfied with just playing mainstream music and their hunger to take music to a higher level, the band went further into exploration & experimentation which as a result attained Nirvana in the form of a new world music which they have named 'Howey'. .They incorporate a part of the past ,blend it with the best of present and take it to the future through their music giving an eclectic and genre-bending sound. They also play a new wind musical instrument made of bamboo invented by a band member Moa. Abiogenesis is the only band in the world that plays Howey & Bamhum. The band's action-packed shows and positive do-or-die attitude are already getting increasing notice around the world, they have performed in 500 plus gigs in India,Thailand and Myanmar.

1.. 'Aeon Spell' released through Saregama in June 2007 ..
2. ‘Rustic Relish’ released through their indie label APH Records.
3. Slice of Heaven also released through its indie label APH Records.
All 3 albums were listed for Nominations in the Grammy Awards.

Arenla was also nominated for the Best female vocals category in the 6th Jack Daniels
Rock Awards in Mumbai.

The Jazz Network is exactly what the title suggests, a place where you get to mix and mingle with those who have not only an appreciation for Jazz but a forum to hear new up and coming artists as well. I've hooked up with so many of my old friends that I've lost contact with over the years here and it's been a great place to meet folk, appreciate good music and Musicianship.
