R.L. Walker - North Jersey (Rahway) native, home to such notable performers as Eric Roberson, singer, songwriter, producer and Shanice Williams who starred as Dorothy in the NBC remake of "The Wiz", has consistently provided his fans and listeners with smooth, relaxing grooves. Grooves created for one purpose and one purpose only - to help set the "chill factor"
His music influence can be traced back to childhood where it was never uncommon to find him singing in school and his church choirs or playing keyboards and the trumpet. Though never formally trained in music, he developed an uncanny appreiciation for rythmic sounds and a strong musical ear. "With music, all you have to do is listen. I mean really listen. You will be able to hear and translate the emotion each instrument brings to the song."
With the release of "From Sunset To Sunrise" (January 1, 2016) R.L. Walker completes his fourth musical offering, Smooth, Jazzy, Funky and yes Sexy-Saxy!! 10 tantalizing tracks combined together delivering an array of musical emotion and over 45 minutes of Smooth-Jazz sensory overload. This full CD release has R.L. teaming up with two dynamic music producers. Lew Laing from the West Coast (Los Angeles) and Eric Sadler (E-SAD) from the ATL, contributors and co-producers on tracks "Coming Up For More Air", "Silent Prayer" and "Whispers". The remaining tracks were solely created and arranged and performed by R.L. impressive!!
As the title suggests, "From Sunset To Sunrise" is definitely going after a mood. You will enjoy each track as they deliver a seperate but equally powerful mood setting escape into the emotional mind of the artist.
We are expecting big, big things from R.L. Come back early and often and oh, add this artist to your smooth jazz rotation. You will certainly and most definitely NOT be dissappointed.

Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.
I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.
My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."
