"Hey Rich - once again, I am thanking you for first, the invite to this group and for all the great music on PJR. Your doing a great job keeping jazz alive on the radio. You can be sure I'll stay in touch and continue to support the station."
In a world of ever lowering standards, it is our intent to help keep alive one of the greatest art forms ever devised by humankind: Jazz.
Pure Jazz Radio (www.purejazzradio.org) is a full time international internet radio station dedicated to this great music and the great musical minds of the past 100 years: Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, and many others who wrote and performed in this genre.
We also seek out, and promote, the best artists of today who play in the "Pure Jazz" tradition.
Run as a non-profit, we seek to keep our standards high without pressure from advertisers to amass numbers to sell product. Our product (and our passion) is Jazz.
Hey Rich - once again, I am thanking you for first, the invite to this group and for all the great music on PJR. Your doing a great job keeping jazz alive on the radio. You can be sure I'll stay in touch and continue to support the station.
Season's Greetings from "near Toronto". Thanks so much for your new friendship here. I love your concept of keeping the music simple and true to its roots; I feel the same. Just posted a couple of audio samples on my new page here - and have a new CD in the works for early 2010 release. All the best to you! Brenda (Jazz Vocalist)
I’m a Featured Artist here on TJNW and Jaijai Jackson told me to contact you. She thought you might dig what I am doing.
I’m also planning a tour and would appreciate a heads up on any contacts that might support my coming to your area. To know more about me please visit My Page or my website: http://www.victorfields.com.
Rich, 10 and 10 is perfect! I will let Dave and Gi Gi know!
In the event that the afternoon show becomes possible, I would work with you to provide weekly content and we could figure out a quicker way to load it, I would hope.
Thanks for all your kindness, Ken
Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.
I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.
My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."
Let's be audacious, my friends!
