- I am a singer, recorded The Songs Of Billy Strayhorn, produced by PBS radio station WGBH in Boston. I am also a radio producer at the station for 21 years and continue to perform live with my band in concerts and nightclubs. I am also the President of The New England Jazz Alliance in Boston, that produces the New England Jazz Hall Of Fame Exhibit.

There are some discouraging signs going on in the jazz community and we need to figure out a way to help change the course that is being taken, a case in point, the radio stations taking jazz programmers off the air.

The death of Michael Jackson comes as a surprise for one reason. My family loves Michael for his talent and artistry. Just a few days before he passed we sat for an hour or so watching his YouTube videos that my son had on his computer. We watched them on a TV hookup. Well, All, I arrived in Charlotte, NC, and doing that thing to get started...UN-PACKING. But, it's all coming together.
I have not been keeping up with the Network of late but now that I am settling in I'll be checking in more often.
I am looking forward to connecting with all you southern cats (lol), so we can do some music together. I am a mainstream jazz guy, and will be looking for piano, bass and drum guys and

As I have said before, I look to my new place in Charlotte to be challenging in 2010, but I strongly believe in being positive and I can see things happening, albeit slowly, but looking promising. I will keep you all updated.
Heading back to Boston in March/April to do some performing, one of which is sharing the stage with my musical partner, John Stein, in a Double CD Release Party, celebrating John's recording, Raisin' The Roof, and our collaboration with Gilad Barkan, Turn Up The Quiet.

The Jazz Network is exactly what the title suggests, a place where you get to mix and mingle with those who have not only an appreciation for Jazz but a forum to hear new up and coming artists as well. I've hooked up with so many of my old friends that I've lost contact with over the years here and it's been a great place to meet folk, appreciate good music and Musicianship.
