It's such a slap!

Blocked from Blair House

Brian Goldsmith
Former Political Producer at the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric

If I were the political editor at a newspaper -- or Washington bureau chief of a network -- I'd call in my White House team, as well as the investigative reporters, and ask them to try to answer the following questions:

1. Given that the Obamas want to move to Blair House ten days before the traditional January 15 pre-inaugural start date -- s… Continue

Barack Obama's Grandmother dies

Barack Obama's grandmother Madelyn Dunham has died from cancer, aged 86. Dunham helped raise Obama from age 10. The Democratic presidential candidate visited her in Hawaii last month, saying she may not live until election day.

Can You Help?

We need a President who believes the economy should work for everyone, not just the few. We need a President who believes everyone should have access to affordable healthcare. We need a president who believes we should end the war in Iraq.

We need a President with good judgment and integrity, who appeals to what unites us. That' why I'm supporting Barack Obama for President.

We're just a few days from Election Day, and all the campaign's efforts are devoted to getting voters to the polls. Doin… Continue

I'm Political.... so I have to add some things other than music.

A Conservative Republican for Obama

My party has slipped its moorings. It's time for a true pragmatist to
lead the country.

Leading Off By Wick Allison, Editor In Chief

THE MORE I LISTEN TO AND READ ABOUT "the most liberal member of the
U.S. Senate," the more I like him. Barack Obama strikes a chord with
me like no political figure since Ronald Reagan. To explain why, I
need to explain why I am a conservative and what it means to me.

In 1964, at the age of 16, I organized the Dallas Coun… Continue

Thanks Sharon

I truly appreciate your comments about my video. I love playing that song with the keyboardist in the Video. I never know what he's going to do with it and that keeps things interesting.

You've got some great music on your page -- I'm going to have to come back and listen to a few more tunes when I get a chance.

Enjoy your day

Happy New Year.

When I first learned about the Jazz Network I thought it was a fabulous idea.  The reality has more than lived up to my expectations.  I am constantly learning about new artists from all over the world who play many different styles of jazz.  I've made new friends, run into old friends and learned about new venues and ways to promote my career and new releases.  It has been such a friendly and welcoming experience that I was delighted to take advantage of this opportunity to be featured on the Network.  Thank you Jaijai and everyone who has chosen to participate in the Jazz Network!

Seldom do you meet a person who impresses you with both brilliance and kindness. Recently, I met such a person. Her name is Jaijai Jackson. I was drawn to her like a moth drawn to a flame. Her love of music is highly spiritual and her understanding of the business is remarkable. After many years in the music business, it is refreshing to meet someone like her.

Historians will research our arts to characterize our culture in the future. Contributions by those who tirelessly support our significant art forms will help to define us. Jaijai has become a key ingredient toward that future and her importance to the jazz world cannot be overstated.

Her devotion to the music and passion for keeping it alive makes our world a better place. Jaijai, thanks for being you.
