Ull Moeck (Germany) - piano
André "Limao" Queiroz (Brazil) - drums
Cléber Alves (Brazil) - tenor-and sopranosax
Jochen Feucht (Germany) - tenor-and sopranosax

Label: Mulatina Records MR-3707

Thomas Rotter displays his soulful versatility as an instrumentalist and as a composer on this debut album. It features 10 beautiful original compositions by Thomas. The tunes seem to have special qualities: two songs from album, "Rainsong" and "No way out", were several weeks among the "Top Ten Jazz compositions" on the composers platform "sibeliusmusic" in 2000. (view screenshots 1 2)
The just released CD includes some special guests from Brazil: one of the most busy brazilian drummers; André "Limao" Queiroz from Belo Horizonte, who worked with top musicians like Toninho Horta or Maria Schneider, and, last but not least, Cléber Alves on tenor-and sopranosaxes. Cléber is also from Belo Horizonte and gained some special reputation for his 2006 released album "Revinda" which was choosen as the "best instrumental album" from Minas Gerais.

What listeners say about "Traumzeit":

"I have to admit that I don´t listen to jazz music very often, but this one I like very much". T.Leitl

"This is one of the very few jazz recordings I put on the list of my "most liked albums"". E.Gross

About Rainsong: "WOW! I love this chart! This chart, as well as many other Rotter charts, is fantastic...! Thank you for writing such great music!" K.Eberle

The trumpeter and vocalist Stacy Rowles has died, following a car accident last month. Rowles, 54, was the daughter of the late pianist Jimmy Rowles, and she was based in Los Angeles. She had been a member of a number of all-female jazz ensembles, including the Maiden Voyage big band and its quintet spin-off, The Jazz Birds. Rest In Peace Stacey, you gave us so much of your heart and music and we thank you. God Bless you...
