In his teenage years, it seemed a natural progression for Wayne Cobham to move on to his own bands and he gathered around him some of the finest young musicians in town. All the while, Wayne was building a strong following and solid reputation as a highly respected trumpet player throughout the flourishing New York music scene. Wayne Cobham found himself in high demand and has toured the world playing trumpet with entertainers such as Ben E. King, Cameo, The Temptations, Little Anthony and the Imperials, The Four Tops, Ray Charles, Billy Cobham, Taylor Dane, Loredana Berté, Lou Reed, and Kool and the Gang just to name a few. But it does not stop there, his studio credits include Michael Jackson, Pieces of a Dream, Nancy Wilson, Denise Williams, Najee, Patti Austin, and Billy Cobham His production credits include Gwen McRae, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Dane, Billy Cobham, and Guy with Teddy Reilly. Hey Wayne,
Haven't been on TJNW in a while. I've been busy, working with a couple of different bands. The most interesting is a band from Coram NY called Studio G they use sequencing technology. It has it's pros and cons of course but it keeps the amount of personnel down and pay up LOL so I am kinda of digging it. Will Be in touch. By the way did you know Leon is moving to Atlanta ? I will miss him tremendously he has been a wonderful friend and brother to me...stay in touch PEACE Kevin G

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN...

Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.

I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.

My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."

Let's be audacious, my friends!

Buster Williams
