In a world where Hip Hop and sampling are taking over, how does a real musician survive?

 As I listen to the lyrics of artist calling people out of their names and magnifying themselves, I often wonder, where is the real music? The musicianship has gone away from the radio. In fact, the number of Hip Hop stations outnumbers the Jazz Stations. People are being forced to listen to rubbish. I am a full time Musical Director of a local Memphis Church. I am a graduate of the Overton Creative and Preforming Art School. I have experience in the West Tennessee Vocal Music Association, Grammy in the School Performer, and have shared the stage with many other professional artist. I am trying to get my music career going. I would like to link up with some artist and go from there.
