Hey Isaac. How have you been other than busy my friend? I've been fine, just tryin' to stay busy myself. I ran into Poogie on a hit we did together back in June for the Jazz On the Beach Concert Series in Jax Beach, and i had the pleasure to do a show with Maurice Hines a few weeks ago with the Ritz Jazz Orchestra here in town. Send a line when you can mian man. One Love.
Ike I like what you did on this site. It is an extreme honor and pleasure to have you as a friend and to have had the honor to work with you. Thank you for all of your love and support. As I have told you before many people are not aware of your great accomplishments. A lot of us to this day never earned a Grammy. I am proud to know that we both represent Cleveland in a very positive way and I am also proud to know you as a brother, friend and a one hell of a drummer. All the best to you my friend and continued success to you and your family!
I met you 'round 1984, it was the New Years Eve gig that The Dazz Band did at the theatre in the round there in Cleveland. I was with Tom Browne. Dressing room hang, That was fun, you were very encouraging.
Hey Brutha Isaac. I apologize gettin' back atcha late. Thank you so much for the kind words my friend, but you're hittin' your damn self main man, true dat!!! I'll def let you know when I'm in Cleveland bruh. One Love.
Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.
I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.
My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."
Let's be audacious, my friends!
