Roz Nixon is the Founder and Executive Producer of Great Women In Music, an annual month long October Festival that celebrates the many contributions women have made to music and the world. As the Festival approaches it’s 14th season, looking back over the years it has featured legendary as well as up-and-coming artists, seminars, lecture series and book signings.
These memorable nights have presented such stellar recording artists as Leela James, Floetry, Gloria Lynne, Irene Reid, Carmen Lundy, Ann Hampton Callaway and Regina Carter. After the Great Women In Music October Festival ends in New York, the series continues in Istanbul, Turkey for performances at the Q Jazz Club.

“Dedicated to Louis Armstrong"
“Dedicated to Louis Armstrong” for the Bell Atlantic Jazz Festival.. The show sojourns musically through the life of the great Satchmo and featured, Roy Hargrove, Terrell Stafford, Christian Mc Bride, Wycliffe Gordon and John Hicks. It was the first ever theatrically based performance in a major Jazz Festival.
Ashley Steward LTD Opens it 100th Store.
It was 12 days of Gospel, Blues, Jazz & Soul In Harlem on 125th Street featuring Melba Moore, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Carrie Smith, Etta Jones, Alyson Williams, B J Crosby and many, many more. This month long celebration christened the 100th opening of an Ashley Stewart store.
Borders Books and Music Celebrates Blues and Jazz
Blues & Jazz Wednesdays featured such Blues greats as Bill Sims and was a weekly on going dance and dine party that where everyone stopped by to Jam .

Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.
I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.
