Tell us a little about your background...
When I was just in High School , I quit because I wanted to be the next Igor Strawinsky . I became a recluse for 2 years , never left my house or saw anyone and studied the scores of most 20th century Orchestral Music composers.
I was a weird kid. Being the son of 2 full time working musician parents (woodwinds , piano and bass) I eventually got into “the business”…. Living in Miami , Florida , I was exposed to ethnic music from all over the world. Meanwhile, I made a living playing Broadway Shows , Society (Frank Sinatra), Rock & Roll , “Top 40″ , Cuban , Puerto Rican , Jamacian , African , Carribean , Brazilian , South American , you name it.

I’ve been in the music “business” for 25 years performing every type of music in all forums. Shows , radio and tv jingles , movie soundtracks , concerts , club gigs , weddings , barmitzvah’s , cruise ships , I even played electric bass and marched in a high school marching band !!
During that time I studied and performed Jazz and Fusion music.
I wrote and arranged several hundred pieces of music just to learn about what I liked hearing……. I never thought any of it would mean anything as my mentality was that of a regularly working , sideman musician.
But now, after all those years I’ve finally realized that it’s time! Time to take all of that knowledge and experience , pair it with the technique developed in finding one’s own voice and record 2 debut solo albums !!

Main Instrument

I play "Electrik Bass". I'm a featured soloist with Smooth Jazz recording artist David Wells (tpt/flugelhorn). I can play solos like a sax or guitar player but also "lay it down" with the best of them.

Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.

I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.

My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."

Let's be audacious, my friends!
