PATIENCE!

"Patience is a virtue - found seldom in a woman...but never in a man".

Someone told me that when I was about 8 or 9 years old and it has stayed with me to this day. Not that I believe what it says - but rather, when I am called upon to excercise MY patience - it pops into my head. Lately it is popping into my head on a regular basis. I wonder if being patient just something we are called on to be, more often as we mature.

On the inside, I am NEVER patient. I want it…

Publicists and Artist relationships.

In 2009 I am going into a new venture of management of artists. This may be in partnership with a recording studio. Thus allowing an artist the ability to have a whole package in which to launch an album.

The question is what issues do artists have and what needs are most vital to them? What are the trials and tribulations met on the journey? I am looking to bring something new to the industry so any feedback is welcome.

Be well
Ciao
Karl

Whatever Happened to the Music Business

By the music business, I don't mean the recording or the performing artists. My reference is to the business machinery that is supposed to drive the music industry.

Musicians and entertainers are not supposed to chase club managers around, negotiate contracts or even collect the money. They should be spending all their time developing and polishing their skills as performers. Yet, the majority of up and coming artists spend the majority of their time spinning their wheels in the… Continue

Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.

I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.

My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."

Let's be audacious, my friends!
