Listen: Fabulous Eagle Man - Changing Woman Essence Show now archived. Enjoy!

WOW ! I think I did it.

This is such a fantastic ESSENCE show I created last week - dedicated to eagle men and changing women... I got inspired by reading the legend of the eagle and how once in their life they have to retreat and pluck alllllll their feathers out to make themselves lighter and even have to break their beak... so that they can grow a new one... and go deeply into that alone space. Yes, that was 2008 for Ms. Johnstad.

Then I met an eagle and he showed me a… Continue

Historical gig – Derby – Friday 24th April 2009

To begin with it seemed like an ordinary day but the sunshine and glee at the prospect of a gig in Derby veiled the threat of certain disaster that was to befall our little expedition.

We set off in two vehicles at around two on the Friday afternoon, anticipating traffic to be the only obstacle to a fine gig. I travelled with Dave de Rose, the drummer and Jonathan Gee (piano) travelled with Larry Bartley (bass) in his car.

After boring Dave with inane chatter, we finally… Continue

In “The City of Jazz,” one cannot turn around without encountering great legacy. Danny Barker speaks of the potency of Duke Ellington as if it was a force beyond the material world from which future generations will forever draw inspiration.

The Jazz Network Worldwide is comprised of all the subsets of the industry worldwide from managers, agents, publicists, venues, festivals, radio stations, studios, musicians, vocalists, etc. and of course fans.  You can use it as a database by utilizing the tool bar for what you seek to connect and network with.

Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.

I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.

My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."

Let's be audacious, my friends!
