With only 2 rehearsals and a short run through the day of; we played the music of George Gershwin: An American in Paris, Cuban Overture, Rhapsody In Blue and Porgy and Bess.
The symphony had 86 musicians...there were…

GOOD NEWS...The report from Seattle is that due to the love shown and money donated to the BofA for the Ernestine Anderson Fund. Her house is saved and there is enough money to make the payments for one year. She also has been getting some work from folk on the West Coast. Keep her in mind when you are having any kind of event and need a great jazz singer.
Thanks for all your contributions, prayers and concern. "Momma D"

MARCIAC • various venues • 1 - 17 August 2008
In the southwestern department of the Gers, a small town with a modest veneer in rolling farmland becomes a jewel for two weeks in August when it shines as the model for how to bring the music to the people. Hippest farmers you'll ever meet. Free afternoon concerts on the town square, not far from the larger-than-life statue of Wynton Marsalis, are followed by main events in an…

It has taken me a long time to process this.
It loomed so large in my head, this first-time trip to New York to perform this music. It was something I created for myself... in that I willed this to Be. I WANTED to go... to be INVITED to the UNDISPUTED East Coast capital of the music I love the most... JAZZ. The home of so much LEGEND, Talent, HIS and HER Story. My Big Bro…

I invite all my music friends to join in and offer their thoughts and perceptions about anything that is on the table.
I am always looking for new ideas and concepts. I also look to learn each minute of every day. So please... pass on anything. The only time one looks a bit left of center is when they do not choose to offer an opinion.
Ciao & Peace
