Tommie's Spoken Word - What Was It You Said???

One of the many pieces of advice Jaijai has given to me, is that she felt in addition to my

musical output, I should maybe sometime give some thought to doing Spoken Word and

we even joked about the sort of things I might do.

With so much going on currently for my music, this was on the back burner, until

yesterday when a lovely…

From Our Hearts For The World

Yes, there are and have been many compilations produced to try and help the people of Haiti. I was asked some weeks ago if I would join in a small group of artists from many different genres to put together an album in the hope of helping or trying to help in some way.

Subsequently, the disaster in Chile hit and there are so many around the world who will always need help, always.

So we created "From Our Hearts For The World"…

The Tommie Brewster Appreciation Society

Photobucket

On Facebook Lady Rosemarie took me by surprise by creating

The Tommie Brewster Appreciation Society just a couple of days ago

and I am still sort of speechless that this should happen.

I can only say a huge thankyou to Rose for doing this and to

voice my thanks also to all the people who already joined the

group.

Such kindness and such support - that this should be done

just… Continue

Happy St Patrick's Day from Tommie!!!

Yes St. Patrick's Day on March 17 and I will be proudly wearing a piece of shamrock here in New Zealand and thinking about all things Irish, remembering that I am half Irish (half Italian also and of course now a Kiwi!!)

The online magazine Artsees Diner is featuring me in with a feature they asked me to

write about 'The Emerald Isle' and my song 'Macushlah' - my version of a very old

traditional Irish love lament.

My video is playing…

Tommie Brewster tops Song Vault showcase chart at 1 and 2

Song Vault is a chart that I don't really give enough attention to - I just occasionally ask

people to vote for me but obviously votes come in all the time. Last year, I had 6 weeks

when I had number one in three different finals charts - one of my songs actually made

it on to the Song Vault library!

Today I'm told that not only am I at number one with Break It To Me Gently,

but now one of my first ever releases, Don't Send Me To…

RIP BUNNY, THANK YOU FOR A LIFE OF GREAT MUSIC

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN...

Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.

I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.

My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."

Let's be audacious, my friends!
