#1 Ze'ev is a creative person who likes sounds to sound good. everything fits together. the music, the crowed, the people helping to put on the show, and that's how the whole world fits.I love to love people though music. I like to make them feel good, and I can when I play my drums because that's when all the bullshit goes out the window. like what we look like or how much money you have.That's why I made My C.D. 26 BLUE MOONS You can't buy my drumming. It belongs to g-d

#2 My father [Morris Macklin] is a world renown Trumpet Player and my Grandfather [Moshe Slutsy] played Drums for the Ice Capades traveling all over the world. Was taught by Saul Goodman Principle percussionist of Juleyard school of music. I was exposed to music all my life and went to shows with my father and grandfather all the time.There is a electrical feeling that happens to you at a show and that feeling made me want to be a musician.

#3 My C.D is called [26 Blue Moons] It puts The Love And Justice Back Into The Music Of Our Dreams.It is a double C.D. The first C.D. is music from my heart with words of love. Ranging From Rock, Blues, Ballade, Irish Scottish, African Jazz. World Beat music. I don't agree with putting labels on music. Music is music.If you like pasta.there are many different kinds of ways to cook it, but it is still pasta.I take great pride in being able to play many different styles of music authentically

#4 I think that if you want to play music well you have to put your self second. you have to look at you're self and say what do I need to improve. The word אמת is 441 which means truth.The note A is 440 THz. Plus 1 for the note making 441. 440 THz means that if you could beat your hands together at 440 times per second you would produce the note A.Now we can see the connection between אמת [Truth]. Beinging truthful to your self and playing music which is one of the ANGELS Of G-D so we should show some respect and play it the best we know how."Do Your Best And Let God Do The Rest".

#5 26 BLUE MOONS Is deferent C.D because The music is a cross between {רחמין } To be softly and love each other.these songs I wrote on guitar . [ דן] Justice is the C D rome DVD of my 20 min. drum solo call SongSound Of The Drums which is only instrumental music Which I wrote from the music from the drums. It begins with African big band music Then to a jazz piece and finally to a rock fusion piece. I want to mix the drum solo representing great music, refinement, and the other side of the C.D my songs To reach the common people.

#6 The artists that I like are Jimmy Hendrix, Stravinsky, Mozart,miles Davis,Beatles, Evil Jones, Buddy Rich, Charley Parker,Each all of these Artistes didn't let the world dictate to them the fear of limitation which we all face if we want to break the mold. I feel the only way to do this with out breaking yourself which they did is to study Torah. But I'm talking about really studying like your life depends on it.



#7 First I want to say that I want to make the world happy by playing my music my way which I thing would help bring Machach.I have a unique cocept of how my music should be performed. I have been playing music for 28 years and have been planning my show for about 20 years. I have gather alot of experence in that time and I have come up with one thing " people want you to be honest with them"' If you play from your heart then they will love you.My concept is like this. I love Jazz but I can't go to a Jazz club and here Just Jazz. I want to hear all kinds of music. Life is not just One thing. It is made up of alot of differt things, people ,colors sounds ,foods ect Want people need is exactly that. A show where one band can play all styles of music athenticly because thats what life is. 26 BLUE MOONS can do that.

I have many stories about this from my years of playing music.#1 I was playing Blues music for about 5 years and in that time I played for the Hells ANGELS, one time I asked some of the group to learn a jazz fusion piece called Spain written by Chic Corea.My partner was worried that we might get killed because He said the Hells Angels want Blues nothing else.I played it any way and they loved it.We played it every night because the kept asking for it.The week after I was playing at a high class dinner ingagement for the goverment officals in Montreal. The music you play for the high society is more latin, jazz, Bossova.I asked them to play a blues peice like we did for the Hells Angels. you guessed it, they loved it.That was when I had this idea for my show. People need eclectictism because life is.

#8 I use to play trumpet but I really didn't like it. I thought maybe I don't like to play music. One day I saw a marching band and the drums just grapped my heart. It was love at first site.After 34 years I don't thing about it I am.

#9 I was first interested in Judaism By music. I was playing a show for T.V. and the camera man found out I was Jewish and ask me to come to his house for Shabbat.He was Moroccan. I fell in love with the music the food the way they speak so I wanted to moved to a Jewish neighborhood. After 6 mouths I became שמר שבת so I movied To Jewish community and after 3 years one of my friends mr. Vogel asked me if I would like to go to ISRAEL..At first I thought why would I want to do that.They said that the air is much more conducive to learning.I thought they were crazy.I spoke to my rabbi at the time רב David Elbaze. He said its not enough time 6 weeks. You have to go for 3 months. I then talked to my mother חיה Macklin and she said " IF NOT KNOW WHEN." This is the ending of פרקי אבות פרק א 14.I took this as a sign and I came to ISREAL JERUSALEM. I was studing at a very black hat ushiva.After about 2 months I was walking in JERUSALEM and realised I don't know how to love properly. I have a wall around my heart that I have to break down so i can let people in without being afraid. Then I thought of the wall in JERUSALEM and how the wall is broken. So I fell madly in love with JERUSALEM. The city of love. The most beautiful woman besides my wife פעוה. After that I called mr.Vogel and said"I have to live here". I never went back to live there.

#10 I have found that living here helps with my creativity.I have come up with a new teaching method for drums Called the 7 steps program which I use when I'm teaching drums. I think my C.D. is very original because I'm living in JERUSALEM and becoming שמר שבת made me more independent. I said that if I can't play music on Friday which is the biggest money making time in the world then I better make my own band and write my own music and Thats exactly what I did, a double C.D. "26 BLUE MOONS.If I never made aliyah or became interested in Judaism. I never would have the courage to do it.

#11 I desire that people fallow their dreams with out fear. We need every body because everybody has a job to do. Your Dreams are what makes the world go around. If I can do it so can you. I put over $50,000 into my C.D. I teach, play weddings but I kept at it. I'm planning to play All over the world with my music to love you
