I played w/the Southeast Symphony on July 20, 2008 at Disney Hall, the home of the L.A. Philharmonic. I am both proud and honored to have been a part of this; this symphony is made up of musicians from all ethnic backgrounds and it was their 60th Anniversary.
With only 2 rehearsals and a short run through the day of; we played the music of George Gershwin: An American in Paris, Cuban Overture, Rhapsody In Blue and Porgy and Bess.
The symphony had 86 musicians...there were 6 percussionists and 20 vocalists (lead and chorus) for Porgy and Bess. The building structure and sound in Disney Hall is amazing.
