I recently moved from my hometown of Los Angeles to Albuquerque, NM. People think I'm crazy since most musicians WANT to be in L.A. Well. L.A. is lovely, and I can appreciate the allure of the bight lights. But being from L.A. myself, I can tell you that it's not all it's chalked up to be – and if you’re not from there, it can break your heart (not to mention your soul). Instead, I chose to follow my heart (which has been pulled for years - no real logic), to the Land of Enchantment! I’m happy to say that my instincts were right. I had no idea what a big JAZZ TOWN ABQ is - there’s music going on here all the time! The moral of my story is this: with technology today (ala The Jazz Network,
Reverb Nation, etc.), you can be anywhere your heart desires, and still be able to reach the industry people and fans you want to reach. I followed my heart, and I’m so glad I did...

The Jazz Network is exactly what the title suggests, a place where you get to mix and mingle with those who have not only an appreciation for Jazz but a forum to hear new up and coming artists as well. I've hooked up with so many of my old friends that I've lost contact with over the years here and it's been a great place to meet folk, appreciate good music and Musicianship. What an incredible idea!!
