WOW! is right! I'm going to hang here a minute and savor the musings of Mr. Ron Gil over a glass of Merlot .... get a little dreamy. You know what I mean? Peace and Blessings! By the way ... I'm from Worcester.
If I have not said it before, Happy New Year to all you folks on the Jazz Network.
As I have said before, I look to my new place in Charlotte to be challenging in 2010, but I strongly believe in being positive and I can see things happening, albeit slowly, but looking promising. I will keep you all updated.
Heading back to Boston in March/April to do some performing, one of which is sharing the stage with my musical partner, John Stein, in a Double CD Release Party, celebrating John's recording, Raisin' The Roof, and our collaboration with Gilad Barkan, Turn Up The Quiet.
Ron
I'm listening to you right now. WOW ... This is beautiful- I'm inspired by your interpretation. I love your voice - I love this song (Dreamy) - I love the arrangement. Fragile is Swingin!!!!! I'm hosting a series of concerts in New Bern (kind of a long way from Charlotte) Do you ever get down this way? Would you consider a concert here?
Hi Ron thanks so much for visiting my page, and your feedback was very much appreciated it means a lot. I really like the song Fragile and the pace, would love to sing it as a duet it has a nice head. Is it an original? I've not heard it before. Lovely musicians you have really nice !!!. Thanks for for the friendship and look forward to sharing the music we love. Love BJ
Hi Ron dropped in to hear your wonderful voice and how inspiring it is for a newbie like me who is still learning about how wonderful Jazz is. Sooo much to learn from everyone here and what wonderful joy music is and how it brings people together. Enjoyed reading and learning about you on the website wishing you all the best Love and respect to you BJ
Ron, thank you so much for that encouraging response to my blog. It's already proved to be anything but easy .. however .. I also know that life without stretching and using my voice is also painful!
Hello Ron.. drmike of radioIO Real Jazz and radioIO Vocal Jazz.. here. Welcome to North Carolina. What brings you to Charlotte? I work the radioIO Jazz Networks from Wilkesboro, just North West from Charlotte. drmike/Michael Matheny/ www.radioio.com

Hey, Ron, I find that I don't have a regular mailing address for you and I'd like to send you a couple of discount coupons for my "Ram Jam" Aries Birthday Party at Sculler's on Wednesday, April 8th. Let me know at: semenya@aol.com You know I had to come back to Boston to celebrate my 60th with the musicians and friends I love!
Thanks for the warm welcome Ron, great to be on this network, Yep as can be seen I've got the perfect face for radio. I've always had the advantage as I have your wonderful Strayhorn album emblazoned with your picture.
Warm regards

Where'd ya go? Busy as a busy bee? It was great to have some time to throw some thoughts/ideas back and forth. Let's continue to the next phase of creativity.
Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.
I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.
My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."

Mr. Smith’s biggest hit, “Walk Don’t Run,” became famous in covers by other bands, notably the Ventures. Mr. Smith, the writer of “Walk, Don’t Run,” gave up his career in 1958 to care for his daughter.
