Man, your voice, your music, your style is timeless. It would be such an honor to acquaint myself with you. I have quite a few of your CD's: Invitation, Moods, and a few more that I can't recall, but I do have children now as a result of them (lol).
Thank you for the FREE voice lessons!! Between you, Johnny Hartman, Marvin Gaye, "Pops", Sarah Vaughn, Ella, and the sax of Ben webster, I feel as if I've obtained invaluable voice lessons for years!! I OWE YOU!! Where shall I send the check?
The first time I heard you at a jazz station I worked I was blown away by your voice and style.....I host a jazz show in Wisconsin and make sure to play your wonderful music very often. Hope you can produce another cd with Gerald Albright. I would love to to a quick interview on the radio someday to promote your work.
Thanks for great music....easy on the ears!!
Good to know you are back and feeling better! Sometimes we need to slow it down, just a tad! My husband played with Lalah when she came to town not long ago and I had the pleasure to meet her. Both of you radiate a positive vibe, so I know the concert will be off the chain! Take it one blessed day at a time....the Universe is smiling on you.
Jaijai, what a wonderful mission you've undertaken to create such a place for artistic minds to meet and share their hearts. A place to renew faded determinations, and revive lessened momentums. A place to display our wares and reconfirm to one another that we actually are on the right track.
I commend you, Jaijai, for caring so much that you created this castle of the heart for all of us. I want to share my praise for all of the new friends as well as old friends that I've met and will meet here in our castle. Here we can garnish the where-with-all, the strength, the conviction, and the selflessness through our symbiosis, to share our gift to the world with an unbiased agenda.
My mentor, Daisaku Ikeda says of art: "A beautiful flower delights and refreshes the hearts of all people equally, no matter what soil it grows in. That is the power of beauty. The same is true of great art. It is this spirit that the German poet Heinrich Heine sang of when he wrote that once the peapod bursts open, the sugar peas inside are for everyone to enjoy."
Let's be audacious, my friends!
